National Network of Perinatal Quality Collaboratives Launch | March of Dimes

November 29 and 30, 2016
Fort Worth, Texas

The National Network of Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (NNPQC), sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the March of Dimes, supports the development and enhances the ability of Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (PQCs) to make measurable improvements in the statewide maternal and infant health care and health outcomes.

The goal of the meeting is to provide opportunities for the sharing of best practices and lessons learned in developing value based collaboratives, and above all, to create a national learning network that will support the needs of individual state collaboratives going forward. View the save-the-date flyer.

PQCs are defined as state or multi-state networks of multidisciplinary teams that are working to improve measurable outcomes for maternal and infant health by advancing evidence-informed clinical practices and processes using quality improvement (QI) principles. PQCs address gaps by working with clinical teams, experts and stakeholders, including patients and families, to spread best practices, reduce variation and optimize resources to improve perinatal care and outcomes. Strategies include use of the collaborative learning model, use of rapid-response data for QI, and providing QI science support and assistance. The ultimate goal of PQCs is to achieve improvements in population-level outcomes in maternal and infant health.
