60 Tiny Love Stories to Make You Smile

Comments

  1. These are stories of true love. Friendly, maternally, and romantically. I hope that someday someone will love me all of those same ways.

    • Stay beautiful on the inside and strive to be the best you every day and you will never have to hope for that kind of love it will present itself to you.

  2. These are so beautiful! My heart is now drowning with tears. MMT that there is still people who are in pure love these days. Hope I find pure love like this…<3

  3. I work as a nurse in a nursing home. Everyday a woman with Alzheimer’s sits by the doors with her bags packed. When asked what she is doing, she reply’s, ” I’m running away from home and eloping with my soldier.” When asked how old she is she says she is 17. She waits all day for him to come to her and then goes to her room when it is dark and puts her belongings away. In the mornings she packs her bags and sits by the doors waiting for her soldier to come for her.

  4. These were so sweet!!! They made my day and reminded me of something that happened to me.

In grade 6, the year before I graduated elementary school, my class had an assignment where we had to present our instruments to the younger grades. A couple years later, after presenting a mini-concert for the students that would next go to my school, a boy came up to me and said “You’re the one that made me choose to play the trumpet!” Made me so happy :’)

  5. A couple of years back my fiancé had the flu. On way out of the doctors’ office he was smiling and I thought all was well. The following day he told me the worst imaginable news, somehow he had contracted HIV. I watched his face as he told me, I saw his world crumble down, I saw his dreams being flushed away and I vowed he would never feel like that again. Today, we are happily married and I remain negative, he tells me everyday that when he takes care of his health, he takes care of me.

  6. I regret for not spending some more quality time with my grandpa when he was all alone waiting silently for his last breath. I wonder what he might be thinking in those last days. Everyone is engaged with their busy schedules which makes him a silent watcher. He was properly fed and assisted but during his lonely time he is lost in his own world. I wish I could be there with him so that he could share his stories and dreams with me.

  7. Today I am remembering the one man in my life who would never let me down, my dad. He passed away at 91 years old, and I knew on that day I lost my life long hero.

  8. There are a lot of these stories that make me want to cry with joy. We need more of these stories in this downer world. Please write more. Thank you.

  9. The antithesis to #37….I met the most perfect girl while working overseas. Due to immigration visa restrictions, it seems impossible for her to move closer to me and because of my lack of foreign language skills, me moving is also not looking good. Despite the distance between us, we just concluded our 5th (albeit expensive) “date” in the last year. There is rarely a day that passes that we do not talk with each other. Being with her is as natural as breathing and has become as necessary as breathing for me. Falling for the girl next door is easy and convenient sometimes…falling for someone that seems impossible and then pursuing them is quite another thing entirely. My only regret is not meeting her earlier in my life.

  10. Perhaps an addition:

    November 3, 2013

“Today, on my grandparents’ anniversary, my grandfather finally went to join my grandmother after a month apart. Before she passed away at 99 after 7+ years of complications from a stroke, he would hobble over to the couch where she usually was laying (on his bad knees), lean down (which was a struggle for him), and kiss her on the forehead. She would open her eyes and say “I love you, Daddy (everyone’s pet name for him).” And he would reply “I love you.” And then he would continue over to his chair and sit down to take a nap.”

  11. These were wonderful heart felt stories. I smiled and cried while reading them. They should all be framed and posted on a public wall for everyone to read.

    • Thank you Ann, I love how short and eloquently you phrased something that seems to elude so many of us, but still keep the hope alive.

  12. I cried and smiled at the same time!!! These mini stories are really heart-touching!!! Hope one day there will be someone who really loves as well!!

  13. I pray that one day we can live in a world of love. We don’t see the love because everything we see in the media is negative and not good for the hope of love. I will continue to spread love where ever I go and hope that others will do the same. thank you
