Traction alopecia! There are no ointments or oils that are going to fix that. Hopefully the damage isn’t permanent but stop pulling your hair back so tight and avoid braids, cornrows, and yes even rough brushing that puts added stress on what is already fine hair. Had a friend who always tied her hair at night sounds normal right? Well she used those cheap cotton scarfs and would tie it tight around her head. Well overtime she developed a nice ring of baldness where the scarf had repeatedly dug around her edges.
I always use a satin bonnet and just loosely bobby pin my hair in a faux wrap to keep my edges from rubbing under the bonnet. Plus it is much more comfortable and allows your scalp to breath.
